If you need to have birth control services but do not have insurance, or if your insurance plan does not cover this service, or if you need confidential services, then the Harbor Community Clinic can help you. Our caring staff will help you decide the method that is best for you. All preventive methods are available. Patients receive quality care from trained professionals, just like they would at a private clinic. To provide this medical care to those who are unable to afford it, we rely on the generosity of the community. Normal costs for services we provide could be:
A family planning visit with normal services and medications usually received would cost $234 at the average private physician's office and the drug store($78) for the office visit, $90 for the laboratory tests, and $66 for a three month supply of birth control pills.) Other birth control methods would be more expensive.
A second visit for family planning, after three months, would cost $53 for the office visit and $220 for a three-month supply of birth control pills for a total of $273.
Diagnosis and treatment of a sexually transmitted disease, a similar office visit would cost $78, with laboratory tests about $35 more. Medication would be extra.
A child's physical examination, at average charge, just for the doctor, would be $72. Any medication would be extra. Please help us continue to provide the care you need by giving what you can.
